Just saw this on game stats
Standing Survivors : 15786 (49%) Standing Zombies : 15878 (51%) Dead Bodies : 4345 Revivifying Bodies : 1983 Standing Zombie Hunters : 7950
I remember looking at the stats sometime last week, and the numbers were skewed the other way with survivors around 53 or 54%. This is the extinction effect in progress.....

Yep is cool, and we're certainly part of that. As the current Extinction Zone settles in and matures, barring any MAJOR survivor counter attack against Caiger Mall, we should see those zed numbers grow.
By the way Surmax great job you been doing in the far NW, we're trying to organize a more coordinated response to counter insurgency within the Extinction Zone much like you're doing patrolling the Undead Zone and reporting regularly to shoutbox and forum. Check out the Extinction Guardians forum here (front page under "Extinction Alliance") and feel free to wade in to the fray.

IIRC, there is used to be only about 2000 or so dead bodies, not the 4000 I see there. Presumably that's also accounted for by the increase in zombie population.

I'm kind of surprised that the percentage of undead isn't even larger by now, but maybe the balance will continue to change as survivors experience more difficulties in getting revived. The last time the NW was completely red, in late March, the number of zombies was approaching 60%, but Mall Tour '07 was also in full swing then.
BTW, there's an interesting ongoing thread about the UD stats in the "Guts" forum at Brainstock. Someone there made a graph that charts all of the changes for most of this year.

Active Characters : 37946 Standing Survivors : 15477 (49%) Standing Zombies : 16009 (51%) Dead Bodies : 4445 Revivifying Bodies : 2015 Standing Zombie Hunters : 7928 Christmas Trees : 2
Mobile Network Coverage : 30%
I like watching the stats. Mobile coverage is at the lowest point it has been in a long time. I'm waiting to see the Revivifying Body count start dropping as we take out more and more NT buildings. With Survivors already failing to keep up with losses, taking out some more such buildings could put them into a permanent decline.
What I find amazing in the stats is how the Active Characters count keeps flucuating. I mean, 39,162 yesterday, 37,946 today? That's a lot of characters that hit the max day limit without activity.

Mind getting a link plz donny . Yes am lazy. I think you have to have an account at Brainstock to view "The Guts" forum, so unfortunately I can't link to the thread directly. It's easy to sign up though and it's a good forum. It's a sub-forum in the "General Chat" section at Brainstock.tk.

Guts is funny ... especially insomniacs mad idea we were behind the recent zed spike!
Oh and now Extinction is the third largest group in Malton having just pipped RRF:
Feral Undead 231 LUE 221 Extinction 169 Ridleybank Resistance Front 168 Malton Fire Department 145
Onwards and upwards - to infinity and beyond!

It's probably due the fact that the NW has become a proper Extinction Zone. Before, survivors were dying a lot, and the suburbs were Very Dangerous. Now they are mostly empty of survivors, having become Ghost Towns. They've clearly moved to the safer area of Malton. IMO, Ghost Towns represent the 'true' status of an Extinction Zone, even though perhaps it's the most boring state! The reason the survivors numbers have recovered is that they've moved to the safer areas of Malton! Survivor vs Zombie numbers just represents tells us that Survivor characters are more popular to play - this is shown by the massive amount of trenchies in the game. Many people just want to shoot zeds! (even though this contributes absolutely nothing to the metagame of survivors actually 'winning' at all.

Fort Creedy has over 700 survivors inside. There are a ton of survivors battling over Yagoton and Rolt Heights/Dulston/Pescoside. Ackland Mall is also repopulated from LUE's attack. The zombie-to-human ratio would change in zed favor if Yagoton/Bale Mall fell, which would certainly backlash in the somewhat re-populated nearby suburbs.
Yagoton is also a likely launching point of survivors looking to drive westward to retake the Extinction Zone.

I take pride in being a member of the third largest zombie group in urban dead. LUE is second largest group and they have accomplished scaring creedy stupid. Feral undead, largest of all and great group.

I'm surprised how quickly things changed from an all red map, to a few scattered suburbs. But I guess that map isn't very reliable.

No, it's not, especially because it is updated by mostly pro-survivors. And all it takes is a few barricade strafes through a suburb to bring it to "yellow" status.
Couple that with: 1. Survivors have AP advantage in almost every aspect of the game 2. There are way more survivors than zeds.
In general, for this game to be balanced based on the AP advantage at the moment, I would expect there would need to be 70% zombies and 30% survivors.
