mIRC

[Dr'Brainz]

Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of instant communication over the Internet. It is mainly designed for group (many-to-many) communication in discussion forums called channels, but also allows one-to-one communication.

Here is what you do.

Getting Started...

1) Go Here...www.mirc.com/

2) Click Download mIRC on the side, --> www.mirc.com/get.html

3) Scroll down This Page till you see mIRC 6.21, for Windows Vista, XP, ME, 2000, 98, 95, NT etc.

4) Click on a an area nearest to you...

5) After its done downloading (10 SECONDS or so..) it will ask you where you want to send it...Just send it to your Desktop.

Setting your nick and server...

1) The hard part is already done, if it doesn't auto run from you downloading it, double click on its icon.

2) It says you get 30 days free...ITS A TRICK, YOU NEVER HAVE TO PAY...just click the continue button.

3)Enter your information on the mIRC Options window. (Information doesn't have to be real..your nickname is what you will be seen as)

4)On the Left of the Options page there will be a list, click on Servers right under Connect.

5) Scroll down the list of servers till you see Dark-Storm..Double click on Dark-Storm, you will see Dark-Storm: Random Server..click on it.

6) On the far left underneath Servers click Options. Click off all the boxes on that page then click Preform... in that text box type /join #masamune then click OK to get out of Preform then click OK on the mIRC Options.

7) If a new window doesn't "pop up" then click the lightning bolt at the very top of the page. It will connect or disconnect your server, once #masamune "pops up" your there.

Added a nice open source java irc client to the taccon, hit the "chat" button on bottom control bar (in between specops and gtm buttons). It will login automatically to the extinction irc chat room that Dr'Brainz is running and makes for a cool ready room to meet up and organize before going into the City.

Hey Ragged, you having problems with the Taccon IRC chat client? Seems to be stable enough on Safari, Mac/PC Firefox and Explorer ... so long as you've got XP sp2, no idea about Vista tho. Any bugs?

Here's an idea, assholes, why don't you lousy, pathetic, worthless players try a survivor group instead of PKing everyone you come across? Better yet, why don't you all just PK each other, and let the survivors do what the name implies: SURVIVE.

Seriously, you all need to grow up and stop trying to ruin this game for everyone by exploiting sleeping and new characters. I guess children will never learn.....

Nowhere, in the game description or information provided by the Urbandead site, does it say this game is for PvP. This game is about Survivors vs. Zombies, not Survivors vs. Survivors.

You point out where it says Urbandead was made for PvPers on the official site, and I'll hand credit to you.

Dude, believe me, I'm support of Extinction, but UrbanDead is a PvP game. Every character, whether a survivor or a zombie, is controlled by a person, not a computer. Thus, all conflicts, whether survivor v. survivor, survivor v. zombie, or zombie v. zombie, are all PvP.

Dude, believe me, I'm no supporter of Extinction, but UrbanDead is a PvP game. Every character, whether a survivor or a zombie, is controlled by a person, not a computer. Thus, all conflicts, whether survivor v. survivor, survivor v. zombie, or zombie v. zombie, are all PvP.

I'm always amused when people take a game too seriously, make up their own stupid rules for it, expect everyone else in the game to follow them, and then get enraged when they don't.

Crimson Clan's leader mentioned that they don't accept annoying jackasses... and from the look of their forums, it seems like they don't. I'm just curious to see if they've let some slip through the net

This is a Survivor vs. Zombie game, whether both sides are players or not, it's STILL Survivor vs. Zombie. You may not be one for technicalities, but we live in a world where we only interact with other human beings, so why aren't you walking down your own street in reality and firing off shots at innocent civilians? Oh I don't know, maybe because we don't live in a PvP world? Just like this was NEVER stated as being a PvP game.
