The only collaboration you could accuse us of is where we have alts at all, albeit working in seperate corners of Malton. And *that* would only be because they are all working for the grander schemings of Extinction - not a great crime, since all zeds are generally fighting for the same things anyway, so you might as well call anyone with two zombie alts a zerger. Well said. If I understand correctly, the remaining question is whether we condone a tactic wherein one player's Zombie A pillages a building, and that player's Zombie B moves in to squat the building? The answer is no. Edit: Ah, ok, just caught your edit. It looks like we're on the same page. And yes, I agree: if a player did that, it would be cheating.

You're rather excitable Mr Z, maybe take a deep breath first then try and develop a coherent argument. A facade of an intelligent reply portrayed via obvious sniping, so as to distract the quoted poster with personal attacks. Usually adopted by folk who can't formulate a sufficient response, so reply with veiled insults. Very transparent. The term you're probably looking for is ad hominem, attacking the personality rather than the argument. Like I said, you don't seem to have one, and the quotes you have are from the Extinction wiki discussion page dating back to March and the very first iteration of the group, they're still there. It's a debate working out the pros and cons of various strategies, which is what wiki's are all about. As I also said, all you need to know is its outcome on the official wiki Regulations. Ummm ... a zerger doesn't need IRC to communicate with him or herself? I imagine they just use their mind, or maybe they mutter instructions under their breath to imaginary characters all the while rocking back and forth in their chairs as they tap away at the keyboard. In fact dammit! YOU'VE CAUGHT ME! There IS only one Extinction member ... ME! I ADMIT IT! It's all ME ME ME. I invented the character of Dr'Brainz some time ago then played myself just "happening" to come along when the Bascombe NT fell, having long conversations with the brilliant Trent Rott (me), then switching personalities to become the debonair Donny Waters (me) or the irascible Ragged Robin (me). It's grown so much so quickly I can't tell you how difficult it is logging in and out of this forum and UD being a couple of hundred Extinction and allied zombies/humans spread across 3 corners of Malton ... sometimes I'd just like to, you know, stop and just be myself but those CIA doctors won't let me stop taking the medication.

Just to clear up any confusion about the earlier quotes - The set of quotes that James posted in the other thread comes from a plan called "Operation Enduring Mrh?" that was created by the group Shacknews. I don't know if it was ever on the Extinction homepage or if there was ever a link to it... I can't find it on the Wiki. You can see it on the Shacknews site though here: www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?id=13905192Shacknews isn't connected to Extinction in any way and I don't think they ever tried to implement the Operation Enduring Mrh? plan. The strategy of OEM? (spawning a bunch of alts, sacking a building, then rotating one of your alts in) is completely different than what Extinction does and we certainly don't encourage or condone that kind of play.

Hey guys, another Octopoper here (though at a different university).
I don't agree with Jim and Mr. Z that you are zerging, if as you say your alts do not aid in the ransacking of one building. I'll have to accept that that is the truth. We at octopope central have been operating under a misapprehension due to that old wiki page, and I'm sorry for the offensive graffiti.
I'm enjoying fighting you guys in Ruddlebank, and you certainly haven't made the game more boring for me.
But I think perhaps ye should examine the Zombie elitist attitude ye have going on here, that all survivors are idiots/like a boring game. I relish the challenge of facing down extinction. I've been playing Dr Bigbones as a dedicated reviver with no combat skills for a long time (and I'm sure you'll admit, that is a hard way to play). You guys drove me outta foulkes, and I rallied to Ruddlebank under the great leader, Nuabreed.
So just to let you know that there is more than one opinion in the Legion, and I've been enjoying playing against you. Here's to some more good battles eh?

Nope, we can dish it out when it's served up to us is all, and we've all had excellent exchanges with various dedicated survivors so long as they can string a decent argument together and haven't come here simply to troll a forum. So ... welcome! Hmmm ... we need dedicated revivers ... if you'd like to do some dodgy moonlighting as a top secret NTJ Doctor gimme a PM. You keep your daytime practice nice and respectably Octopopish but at night you deal in the dark side Totally, and what else is gameplay for other than to play the game with gusto eh what? And I reckon the Octopope Legions would make an excellent Zombie horde too, why not go both ways? I've just finished another stint in the NTJ scouting the free runs of the Dakerstown war zone. Now that's fun, you have to dodge not only the zeds in a suburb that's falling apart at the seams but also of course all the rather annoyed survivors many of whom know me. I really enjoy crossing back and forth and Extinction/NTJunkies is evolving into an interesting symbiotic zombie/living hybrid. Besides, zombies are simply the best shock troops around, the whole zombie game is basically a mil sim. So why not join us? Octopope can rule Ruddlebank with Extinction support!

wow. its good to here from a human guest that dosent just talk a bunch of stupid shit. thanks for righting. and i have to agree with you that it does seem like there is a little prejudice around here but not really. when we say humans sit around in malls and dont do nothing but be lazy were just being zombie's. we do eat you guys. but im NTJ high command and i do it cuz being human is fun. i only chose to be a "death cultest" because it add's a whole nother level to it. besides in my experence fighting humans is a bit more of a challange. its hard to keep you guys down for long. but NTJ means surviving in a land where your hunted by the people you live with (after all u cant sleep outside and enjoy freerunning the next day) and by the ones you help. it isnt easy. and if i do my job we'll then i have less safehouses to hide in, more enemies with guns, theres little to few needles around so getting revived is harder. but im not complaining i think the challenge great. and another point, zombies were all a wepons expement to start with anyways. think about it. were immortal. even when our troops run out of ammo and food and even get shot to death, you can still effecively fight a statigic war. personally i think were brothers the living and the dead. like kain and able, romulus and remus, eccept in this city life and death cannot drive us apart! as brothers we should find common foes and bathe in there blood and let the lamentations of there wemen fill the night sky (conan). its a shame its so easy not to look past the living or dead thing. but i suppose thats what extinction was founded on huu? i suppose though, tradition says that tradition changes. one day i hope NTJ dosent need its own name.

Excellent, that clears it up. I was misinformed from the quote posted by Jim earlier saying that you guys do that sort of stuff (stuff as you say unconnected to you). I take back my complaint. Heh, funny to see that while the "co-leader" and "commander" (zeug and setite irrespectively) are completely lacking in manners and civility (or intelligence, lol an insult omg I am so smart : , there are some people in this group who deserve respect. Donny and armareum, cheers. Ha, haha. Speaking for myself: No.
