Ok, so I know that EXTINCTION has its own signup thread, where new recruits introduce themselves and what not, which got me thinking, “Why the Hell isn’t there a thread that acts as just the opposite?” A kind of counterbalance of sorts. What I’m suggesting is this… Below, lets all get together in an informal internet circle, EXTINCTION troopers and leadership alike, and take a moment to clear up any longstanding topics or ?'s that, until now, we felt too stupid to ask each other about. I’ve had all my questions answered in the past so instead I’ll just talk about myself. Feel free to do the same if you don’t have any thing you’d like to have cleared up. I encourage you all to get to know the people who will be by your side helping to bring about the complete and utter ruination of MALTON! For my part, every time I come into contact with a member of Extinction (in game) I add them to my contacts list or click on the members icon of the forum and add away......don't go too crazy though, i think there is a limit to how many contacts you can add in game. Strike team: NOC, but my NTJ is active around the strike team, so I can't run my zed at the moment.
Playing since: March '06 on and off. But started back again full time when I joined Extinction at the end of May just a few months ago.
Alts: I run a zombie in Extinction, and a zombie spy in NecroTech Junkies. And another zed in a Group called 'The Headbangers of Malton'.
Nicknames/chatroom aliases: 'arm/armless/acalvertspy/crotchrot (don't ask. or maybe do)
What I do in the Extinction Alliance: I am the (co-)leader of the NTJ with generatorkiller. Together we have created the BLR that (currently) covers about 30% of Malton. This will soon be expanded to 100%. I run an NTJ to I update the BLR, or use information I get from other players. I try to give guidance to newbies fresh Extinction Troopers (along with several others in the Extinction Alliance
Why I love the Extinction Alliance: I get on with everyone in Extinction (at least, I like them), and no-ones ego gets in the way of being able to discuss anything. I've had several great evenings in the chatroom when it's busy laughing myself silly at the stupid fun we have. Everyone chips in where they can, and the emphasis is on having the most fun whilst we play. The meme of Extinction and Salt the Land really has taken on a life of it's own and I am looking forward to essentially 'winning' the game by seeing all of Malton crushed and in RUINs.

Also, the BLR is the single best "innovation" for this game. |

What I do in the Extinction Alliance: I am responsible for lurking in the shadows, making things look pretty and coming up with new ideas for everyone except me to do lots of hard work on. I recently plotted to make 'arm leader of NTJ to further avoid responsibility and accountability. This apathetic attitude continues in-game where I love to identify targets and do everything I can to get the local ferals to attack them for me.  Why I love the Extinction Alliance: - It's the only serious competitive group in the game with total apocalypse as it's goal. It's playing for keeps, and takes a pure alpha-male approach to it's gameplay. Constantly aggressive and expansive. Playing to win. - It's the only forum I've found that provides the in-depth tactical discussion that I enjoy. - It's friendly, and it's members are mostly here to goof around, have some fun in IRC and spaz out in a safehouse full of 80+ brains. - It helps newbies, by providing easy exp to low level characters. - It helps other smaller zombie groups, and tries to remain on good terms with the people it's attempting to eat. It doesn't do "smack talk" because it doesn't need to, and those humans are going to be potential fresh recruits once they're dead, so being polite to everyone is always good - It's completely bloody insane... mixture of shifting forums, strange and varied personalities, such as our sexy leader Brainz  ) and the grand philosophical zeug in his tinfoil hat etc. occasional random bouts of anime similes <(  <) (>>_<)> (>^(>0_o)> and a sheer amount of random spam that somehow never gets deleted but never gets in the way of business either. Oh, and I also like to edit posts a lot!

Spawned in March 07 with the single purpose of joining Extinction after a friend O'Shea2 told me about UD. Built the Taccon and helped Brainz and company of the Old Krew develop our strategies and tactics. Moved up from the initial Bascombe siege to help destroy Roywood (it was lit and caded back then, a nice lil hamlet!) and smash the Crimson Clan in Dakerstown, Malton's Extinction Zone suburb no. 1. We fanned out to demolish the surrounding burbs and did so, establishing the far NW Extinction Zone which has never really recovered since. |
